The antique furniture at The Bonner Garden have been Tastefully selected to reflect simplicity and comfort. A few of the more unique pieces are shown here.

This museum-quality walnut Victorian sofa dates back to the 1860-1880 era. This hand-carved piece has been repaired and recently reupholstered in Houston by Horace Pierson Restoration. This piece was originally acquired at Roundtop, Texas. The marble-top table was discovered abandoned at the Whitehall Hotel in Houston, Texas (ca. 1920).

This Empire desk dates back to the 1870-1890 time frame. This is remarkable for its solid front drawer construction. It conversely has delicate legs presenting more of a feminine appearance which fits in well with the decor of the Portico Room. The glass top is for protection purposes... feel free to use this during your stay. Be careful, though, as the knee room is cramped for taller guests!

This Continental-era desk is simple and practical, just as our early American forbears liked it! The lamp is an ornate circa 1940 desktop piece, suitable for an accountant's desk.
